::: BACKGROUND :::
Ms. Kitagawa has been studying the violin since she was four, under Mr. Masao Araya, then later came to the U.S.A. studying with Ms. Marjorie Marth at University of La Verne, and Dr. Rachel V. Huang at Claremont Graduate University.
During her study at University of La Verne, Ms. Kitagawa experienced many possibilities with music; such as jazz ensembles, improvisation, music technology and composition, in addition to classical training. She studied introductionary jazz studies with Dr. Reed Gratz at ULV.
Ms. Kitagawa performed in the Claremont Colleges Joint Orchestra for several years, as well as variety of events, weddings and recordings. She is currently concentrating managing her music studio and teaching.
Ms. Kitagawa has taught violin and piano for 7 years for private/group lesson, including music theory, music history, and ear-training. Besides private lessons, she have taught in Academy of Music in Upland, CA, for six years, Waltrip's World of Music in Arcadia, CA, Claremont Community School of Music in Claremont, CA, for private and group lessons. Ms. Kitagawa taught music class (choir) in Oxford High School, Rowland Heights, CA.
She received B.A. in Music, at University of La Verne with Magna Cum Laude, M.A in Music at Claremont Graduate University.
